Stuart Middleton is an English video game developer.

He started in the video game industry in 1986 when he graduated high school and started working at Elite Systems as a Junior Programmer, primarily working on the Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum. A year later, he started working as a freelance developer, which he did for a couple years, mainly working with Mastertronic and Virgin, and worked on their game Universal Hero. In 1989, he joined other former Elite staff in forming Arc Developments, where he worked as a programmer, mainly on the Sega Genesis. There, he reverse engineered the system to create development systems for the company. In 1992, Middleton left Arc and founded Eden Entertainment Software with Tim Round in 1993. The company started out with just Stuart and Tim, but grew to around 14 employees. Though he was a founder, Stuart continued to work as a programmer for the company, and with Tim, they created a sound driver that was used in a couple Sega Genesis games. Unfortunately, these games were never released. In 1996, Stuart left the company and has since worked for several other companies, mainly for programming.

Since October 2021, Middleton has worked as a Technical Director for Codemasters.
