Shinobi (忍) is a side-scrolling platform action game where you play a modern-day ninja named Joe Musashi who is trying to discover who is responsible for several children being kidnapped. Each stage is crawling with thugs that Musashi must dispatch by hitting them with shurikens, kicks, his katana, explosive bullets, or one of his deadly ninjitsu techniques. The game is broken up into five missions, each with 2-3 stages and a boss.

Shinobi uses Sega's popular System 16 arcade hardware.
