Worlds of Ultima: The Savage Empire is an RPG set in an alternate dimension where primitive humans and dinosaurs live together. The game is the first of the Worlds of Ultima series which was designed to expand the Ultima universe to include elements of fantasy different from the traditional swords and sorcery variety.

The game uses a slightly modified engine of Ultima VI: The False Prophet (DOS).

Music

The soundtrack was composed by George Sanger. Sanger explained that he composed the soundtrack using Mark of the Unicorn's Performer or Performer 2 (he couldn't remember exactly which, but he's sure it wasn't Digital Performer), running on a Mac of some kind (either a Plus or an SE). Herman Miller then converted Sanger's MIDI files to OMI format to play in his driver.
