Shigemasa Matsuo is a Japanese composer who worked for Konami. He has scored the music for a few popular Konami titles. Matsuo attended college for science and engineering before starting his work for Konami. He worked for the company from around 1988 to around 1993. He primarily composed for the company's NES titles, but also did a little work on the Genesis and even scored an arcade game.

He currently goes by the name "おつまみ松尾" (Matsuo the Snacker) and lives in Ota-ku, Japan. The name is also a play on his surname; rather than "Matsuo" (まつお), it is "Otsuma(mi)" (おつま).
