Super Nintendo Sound Format (SNSF) is a format very similar to the NSF format, but for the SNES. Unlike the SPC, which only creates a log of the Super Nintendo's sound memory, an SNSF file contains the actual computer code necessary to play the music which has been extracted from the SNES ROM. The SNSF format was created because certain games that utilize the SPC chip in odd ways cannot be logged to the SPC format. By ripping the actual sound code, the SNSF format can house every SNES soundtrack. However, logging an SPC file is easy, while ripping to SNSF is quite difficult, and as such, few games have been ripped to SNSF.

SNSF files can be obtained from the creator's website.
