Norio Hanzawa (also known as Kazuo Hanzawa) is a Japanese composer and sound designer, known for his countless works with Konami and Treasure.
He joined Konami around 1989 and was a part of the Konami Kukeiha Club under the moniker "Playback Hanzawa". He is known for working on many arcade soundtracks for the company, and is known for his soundtracks for Quarth and Punk Shot. In 1992, Hanzawa left Konami and went with Hiroshi Iuchi and Katsuhiko Suzuki to work at Treasure. There, he scored many games including Gunstar Heroes and Alien Soldier.

Norio created MIDI files, possibly in Logic. He then ran them through a blue box provided by Nintendo, and then used Nintendo's MP2K sound driver.
