Damian Scattergood is an artist and former software developer. His father bought him a Sinclair ZX81 in 1981, which had only a couple of games on it, so Scattergood started learning how to write his own ones. He was programming merely for fun, but then thought about making a living from it and decided to hire for Emerald Software after studying the Z80 language at Mentor Educational Services. Scattergood now works as a managing director at STAR Dublin.
