Archer Maclean was a prolific English video game developer. As a child, he would dismantle electronics, as well as a television. As a result, he later got a job in a television repair shop in 1975. A year later, he started working at an electronics store after meeting the owner, and used his earnings from this job to buy computer hardware. His first work in the game industry was the title Dropzone, which was inspired by the games Stargate and Defender. He also worked on International Karate and its sequel known as IK+. However, he is perhaps best known for his snooker game series, most of them featuring the endorsement of snooker professional Jimmy White.

Unfortunately, Archer Maclean passed away on December 17, 2022. His cause of death is unknown.
