Yasushi Kaminishi is a Japanese composer, sound designer, and professional bassist. In 1990, he was the bassist in the band Galapagos, and the band was signed to Toshiba EMI. The band broke up in 1994, but Kaminishi continued to work in the music industry. Around 1999, he joined Takumi Corporation and scored his first game, Giga Wing. He also composed games such as Night Raid and Mars Matrix. He is known for being able to write in a variety of styles from classical to techno, as well as jazz and ambient compositions.

It appears Kaminishi left the game industry in 2019.
