Yasuhiko Takashiba is a Japanese composer and sound designer. He started off working for Bitbox, a company consisting of former Sega staff. He joined Jaleco when the companies merged. His first game was Big Run, and he also composed its sequel, Cisco Heat.

While Takashiba received only few music credits, most of the soundtracks he worked on were praised by its listeners. He is perhaps best known for his work on Earth Defense Force for the SNES, in which he not only arranged Tsukasa Tawada's music from the arcade version, but also composed original music that many listeners agree is on par with Tawada's original score.

For Earth Defense Force, Takashiba used the first version of TOSE's variant of Nintendo's Kankichi-kun. The rest of his SNES games were done using Jaleco's sound driver by Hajime Uchida.
