Wien, du Stadt meiner Träume is the first and best-known Viennese song by Rudolf Sieczyński (1879–1952).
Title
Edward Lockton (1876–1940) translated the title to "Vienna, City of My Dreams".
Many arrangements are titled "Wien, Wien, nur du allein", after the chorus.
Composition
The sheets published during Sieczyński's lifetime indicate the key of G and slow waltz tempo.
The Austrian satire band Erste Allgemeine Verunsicherung arranged the first half of the chorus as a slightly atonal instrumental, performed three times with a fade-out. That recording was first published in May 1981 on their album Cafe Passé, and in autumn 1988 on their famous 10th-anniversary album Kann denn Schwachsinn Sünde sein? (roughly "Can Nonsense Be Sin?").

Over the game intro, the first loop by Erste Allgemeine Verunsicherung plays, while a fictional page of a real existing Swiss tabloid fades in. When you press a key, the music stops, the screen fades out, and the title screen comes up.
The filename is BLICK.SND, the format is unsigned 8-bit PCM in mono. The playback rate was manually entered as 15 kHz, but is transposed unnoticeably up to 15151.5 Hz for the Sound Blaster DMA.
Lyrics
The lyrics to the notes included in games are:

German Wien, Wien, nur du allein sollst stets die Stadt meiner Träume sein, dort wo die alten Häuser stehn, dort wo die lieblichen Mädchen gehn. |
English words by Edward Lockman Call, call, Vienna mine, Call night and day with your songs divine! Show me your radiant skies of blue, Bring back the glory that once I knew! |
