What the Forest Taught Me is a cheery music played throughout the bulk of Upperland.
Since Secret of Mana (SNES) used all 8 channels of the SNES audio chip, sound effects must interrupt music during game play. This is relatively unnoticed in most places in the game, however, it is particularly obvious when you kill an enemy while What the Forest Taught Me is playing.
This song is track 15 on the official soundtrack.
