Weird Dreams is a game by MicroProse which centers around the main character Steve who has been severely poisoned and is taken to the hospital. He falls into a coma and must overcome his dreams to wake up again. This includes avoiding a cotton candy stick, a giant wasp in the fairgrounds, man-eating soccer balls and flowers, and other random things.

Music
The game features a short soundtrack of five songs. These were all done by Barry Leitch. Barry used AdLib Visual Composer to make the music. According to Barry, the game developers wanted him to recreate David Whittaker's soundtrack from the Amiga/Atari ST versions and make the title screen music sound similar. David did the PC-Speaker version of the soundtrack. Aside from that, the game also contains some real music such as Country Gardens and Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. Barry said that the Fairground music is based on The Daring Young Man on the Flying Trapeze, but it appears to be an original song.
Because there are two different sound outputs supported for this game, the AdLib/SoundBlaster soundtrack starts with a 1 and the PC Speaker starts with a 2, which still needs to be recorded. In parentheses are the songs' filenames.

The game contains .MUS and .SND, both of which are installed in the game's directory. The .MUS files are the songs while the .SND files contain the instrument information for each song. Each of these songs can be played at the title screen by renaming both the .MUS and .SND file to WDTITLE.MUS and WDTITLE.SND. The music has been logged into .VGZ format and was played back in Winamp.
