Visco is a Japanese game development studio and publishing house. The company was established in 1982 as Video System Kyoto Co. (which is the company's namesake), and was incorporated on August 8, 1983.
The company started out developing mahjong video games. However, in 1986, the company released Panic Road, and started to develop other genres of games. The company worked closely with Taito, and their early games use their PCB boards, as well as their games being published by Taito. They also appear to have worked closely with Seta. In addition, they created the SSV board (Seta/Sammy/Visco), which was a powerful board at the time. However, the partnership between the three companies was dissolved when Sega was bought by Azure and Sammy merged with Sega.
On May 6, 1999, the company filed for a settlement with the Kyoto District Court after its business partner Maruishi Sangyo issued a dishonored check in addition to the already-plagued business burden of dead stock of system boards.
The company released its last game in 2005, Crown Magic Cherry Rush. They also allegedly made slot machine games in southeast Asia. The company has recently released NeoGeo games in Japan that were not originally found in Japan.

Note: It appears Visco did not have any in-house audio staff, and instead outsourced audio to other composers/companies.
