The PlayStation and DreamCast versions both use the same exact soundtrack. Because of both consoles' CD capabilities, the music has a much higher fidelity.

The song does not loop in the game. When the song is finished in the menu, it does not repeat and therefore, the game is silent. When the song is finished in-game, the game goes on to the next song.

Arranger Alexander Brandon, Dan Gardopee
Released 2000-02-02
Length 4:02
Format USF

Because of the limited cartridge capacity, the N64 had to be scaled down, and is the only different-sounding version. The PlayStation and DreamCast versions both had some lyrics to the song, but most of them were removed in the N64 version. Alexander Brandon said the music was composed on a cartridge by Software Creations which utilized a piano roll. The instruments are from a Korg Trinity.

The USF for Vigilante 8: Second Offense has recently been ripped, but for the most accurate sound possibility, the music has been recorded from the game itself on a real Nintendo 64 console.

Lyrics

DreamCast/PlayStation Version

Can you dig? Huh, huh.
Vigilante: 2nd Offense.
Ho, ho, ho, ho!
Vigilante 8.
Ha ha ha!
Ooh! Yeah!
Ooh! Yeah!
Come on, let's do this...
Vigilantes.
Dippin' and dodgin', swervin' and curvin'.
Fighting for what's right while trying to stay alive.
Vigilante.
Come on! Yeah! Ooh! Yeah! Ha ha ha! Ooh! Ah! Ah!
Welcome to the west, to the wild wild west!
Uuh. Ooh-ooh! Oh! Ooh!
Vigilante.
Shut your mouth!
Uh! Uh! Uh! Can you dig? Uh!
Ah.
Sing!
Vigilantes.
Dippin' and dodgin', swervin' and curvin'.
Fighting for what's right while trying to stay alive.
Vigilante.
Sing!
Vigilantes.
Dippin' and dashin', swervin' and curvin'.
Fighting for what's right while trying to stay alive.
Yeah...

Nintendo 64
