Thank you for the new uploaded game rips. However, I had to remove external links from your changes, as it looked like you were trying to advertise 3rd party website, which is not allowed here, even if you did this with good intentions. --binarymaster (talk) 13:08, 10 December 2022 (EST)

Thanks for your message. Before I explain my intentions, I'd like to clarify what's exactly wrong with the links.
I've studied the Editing Rules carefully.
The Editing Rules: General page in the Remain On Topic section prohibits off-topic posts or links. Both posts and links were on-topic, so no violation here.
The Editing Rules: Games page has Links section which is encouraging linking to well-known sites, but not prohibiting other links. No violation.
The Editing Rules: Moderators has a Spam section, which gives the example about politics. The links pointing to a retro game music site are not spam.
So formally I cannot find the cause of the problem. Am I missing something?
Or your point might be that Identify a Problem section on Editing Rules: Moderators is the one that applies here?
Last thing that comes to my mind is that I misplaced the links (should rather go into the Links section).
Please provide your justification.
