Welcome

--M1911 (talk) 04:58, 16 September 2021 (EDT)

--M1911 (talk) 05:06, 16 September 2021 (EDT)

MP3 vs Vorbis

Hi!

I noticed you uploaded recordings of newer WEB games to play in a browser, that are marked to use MP3 format. Converting the songs encoded in this format into an .ogg is not recommended on this site, as both use lossy compression. Next time, please upload the music files as original w/o transcoding.

For further reading, there's MP3 page header to clarify.--Cancer (talk) 14:32, 3 April 2022 (EDT)

Pardon, I just thought that recordings in a format other than OGG are not permitted. Thanks for letting me know. --Жукороп (talk) 14:46, 3 April 2022 (EDT)
Wait. Actually, I just checked Editing Rules page and it says that "if you need to make alterations to the file (like by adding looping), you should transcode the format to OGG since you'll be re-saving the file anyway". So I guess the conversion is acceptable unless the song doesn't loop? --Жукороп (talk) 06:13, 4 April 2022 (EDT)
But that is dated to December 2014. Not sure if today's audio editing software can manage (a non-detrimental) modification to lossies. I, personally, would not touch this except CD-audio leaving unlooped song (skipping meeting site's rules though). However, if you feel like you won't break anything you are allowed to do Vorbis looped conversion. Closing this topic now. --Cancer (talk) 14:57, 4 April 2022 (EDT)

Gobliiins

Hi there! Just to ask whether you inteding to add recordings of other games in the series. Asking because I already have made some progress on parellel with you (without giving a public notice) done on Goblins 3 and very largerly on Goblins 1 (both CD and unused floppy) and Goblins 2. --Cancer (talk) 14:45, 5 May 2022 (EDT)

No, I wasn't planning to make articles for the sequels. Feel free to start uploading the soundtracks yourself if you want, I won't mind. --Жукороп (talk) 15:02, 5 May 2022 (EDT)
