U R A Hero
The song is in the key of C minor, plays at approximately 96 beats per minute, and plays in the 4/4 time signature. The lead instrument is a trumpet that mostly plays intervals of the scale of the current chord. In the background are some horns that play the current chord of the song (Cm F Cm Gm Cm F E♭ Cm/F Fdim/G B(♭5)/G Cm). A tuba serves the song's bassline, which plays in quarter notes in fifth intervals, most of the time. Every two measures (or sooner), a faint trumpet can be heard glissing down. The song is also accompanied by a military-style snare and bass drum combo.

Wolfenstein 3D (SNES)
Unlike the DOS games where you hear U R A Hero upon completing an episode or mission, in the SNES game, the song plays at the beginning of the game during the mission briefing. It is the best-quality version of the song, as it uses instrument samples as opposed to FM synthesis. However, the SNES version of the song is missing instruments; the glissing trumpet, bass/kick drum, and most of the snare drum rhythms. It also plays approximately 5 BPM faster than the original. The tuba is replaced by an acoustic bass and the backing horns replaced by an organ. These instruments were sampled from an Ensoniq SQ-1.
The song was arranged by Bobby Prince, and converted into Rebecca Heineman's sound driver
