Tommy Dunbar

Tommy Dunbar is an American composer and musician. He was the main composer for Free Fall Associates. Dunbar started working for the company after dating programmer Paul Reiche III's sister, and Paul inquired Tommy about composing the music to the game Archon, who accepted the offer.
Today, Dunbar continues to serve as the keyboardist in the band The Rubinoos.
Audio Development
Archon
Tommy says that Paul asked him to write some sort of "action music." He wrote the song on his guitar, and then copied it over to sheet music, which he sent to the developers to implement into the game. Since Paul Reiche III was the only developer of the group to receive audio credits, he most likely did the sound programming as well.
Dunbar also stated that since Archon and its sequel Adept were about light and dark, he wrote descending and ascending notes for each game, respectively, as well as using the major and minor scales.
