Games
Track & Field (ARC)
This arrangement is in B. The melody, one harmony and hand clap play on the SN76489, the bass on different hardware that VGMRips does not support as of 2012.
Hyper Sports (ARC)
Probably same as Track & Field (ARC), except that the bass instrument seems tinnier in MAME 0.228.
Daley Thompson's Decathlon (ZXS)
This arrangement is in C♯.
Track & Field (C64)
The arrangement from 1984 is in A♯ on NTSC. On PAL, it is tuned at 424 Hz and closer to A. In the 1984 rip, it is track 8.
The arrangements from 1987 are in G♯. On NTSC, they are tuned at 457 Hz and closer to A. In the 1987 rip, they are tracks 1, 2, and 7.
Besides, all arrangements sound the same on every SID chip.
Daley Thompson's Decathlon (CPC)
This arrangement is in D and falls out of sync several times. Both the driver and the song appear to be bugged.
Hyper Sports (C64)
This arrangement is in G, Galway's favorite key. It is tuned at 434 Hz on PAL and 450 Hz on NTSC. Besides, it sounds the same on every SID chip. In the rip, it is track 26.
Galway's SID arrangement of Chariots of Fire is one of Rob Hubbard's favorite SID songs.
Daley Thompson's Star Events (CP4)
This arrangement is in G, Galway's favorite key. The bass is quite high, since the TED chip does not go below A2.
It plays over the attract mode. On day 1, this is after game-over. On day 2, it is also after loading, before you start the game. Galway did not arrange the song to loop, but the game programmers detect when it ends and restart it themselves. To record one loop plus 10 seconds, day 2 was loaded in VICE 3.2 with C16 PAL.
Daley Thompson's Super-Test (CPC)
This arrangement is in D.
Daley Thompson's Super-Test (ZXS)
This arrangement is in C. It is only in the 128 version from 1986, not in the 48K version from 1985.
Daley Thompson's Super-Test (C64)
Same as Hyper Sports (C64), except that an NTSC release is not known.
Track & Field (NES)
This arrangement is in G♯.
