The Incredible Crash Dummies is an action-platformer developed by Software Creations and published by the infamous LJN. It would be their last NES game.
The story is quite generic; The evil Junk Man has stolen the crash test dummies Spare Tyre and Daryl, so it's up to Slick and Spin to rescue both of them. The game consists of eleven stages; five "levels", each with two "stages" (with level 4 having one stage). In most of the first stages of each level, the player controls Slick, who has a wheel for legs, which makes him hard to control. In the second level, the player controls Slide, who has legs and moves a lot smoother. Throughout each stage, you can collect various different items. One of these is the oil can, which serves as ammunition. Your standard weapon, an air gun, has infinite uses, but can only paralyze enemies for a brief moment.
The game received negative reviews from critics; unsurprising for an LJN game. People criticized the game for being too difficult, with most people saying they never saw past the first stage. Another problem was Slick's controls, as they're really floaty, and this isn't helped by his stages having "powerdowns" that cause him to move too fast, in which hitting a wall will cause his head to fall off and reverse the controls.
The game was developed only by three people; Paul Murray (programmer), James Clark (graphics), and Geoff Follin (sound). Software Creations also developed a Game Boy version, which is a different game.

Music
Out of all the faults of the game, most who have played the game have praised its music. This is because the music was by the late Geoff Follin; one of the few composers on the NES that took full advantage of the 2A03's limited sound hardware. Unfortunately, there's only two main stage themes you will hear throughout the game, with a couple new ones here and there.
Interestingly, there are three unused tracks; all of which are taken from the Game Boy version. In the Game Boy version, these served as the various stage themes. Since that game credits both Geoff and Tim Follin, it is unknown if Tim contributed to these compositions as well, or if they were songs from the Game Boy version composed solely by Geoff. "Unused 3", used during a driving level in the Game Boy version, is similar in composition to Highway Star by Deep Purple; a peculiar fact seeing that Tim Follin would arrange that song for Rock 'N' Roll Racing (SNES).
The recording below has both the PAL and NTSC recordings. Because the game was developed in England, the PAL version is most likely how Geoff intended the music to sound. However, the Game Boy version, which sounds the same in all regions, uses the same tuning as the NTSC version. Also, the PAL version plays at the same tempo as the NTSC version, with the only difference being the usual drop in pitch by a semitone.
To do the music, Geoff Follin wrote the music in assembly macros using a sound driver by Stephen Ruddy.
Recording
The NTSC recording begins with a 1 and the PAL recording begins with a 2.

The credits can be viewed after completing the game. As stated above, the unused songs are taken from the Game Boy version which credits both Geoff and Tim. It is currently unclear if Tim did in fact contribute to these songs, or if Geoff composed them on his own.
Stephen Ruddy has verified creating the Software Creations sound driver.
