The Code Monkeys was an English game development studio that was founded by Elliot Gay, Colin Hogg, and Mark Kirby on February 1, 1989. The company developed for a small number of consoles including the Game Boy, Sega Genesis, PlayStation, and even the Sega CD.

On February 1, 2011, exactly 22 years after TCM's founding, the company closed its doors as a decision made by the directors and shareholders of the company.
