The Addams Family: Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt is an action-adventure game developed and published by Ocean. It is based on the 1992 animated series.
In the game, the player takes on the role of Pugsley. His sister Wednesday has hidden six items throughout the Addams Family household for him to find, in order to drive Pugsley "to happiness". The game is an action-platformer. The game starts out in the house which acts as a sort of stage select. The stages take place in many places in the Addams Family household including the Attic, the Icebox, and the Bathroom. Each stage contains multiple segments. Many areas require some puzzle-solving, usually hitting a series of switches in a particular order to open up the next area of the stage. At the end of each stage is a boss. Pugsley has no attacks besides jumping on enemies, though some can hurt him, even if he jumps on them.
Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt received mostly positive reviews, but was also noted for its excruciating difficulty. The controls could have been programmed better; for example, you can't press the run button and press the jump button without letting go of the run button, which makes the platforming even more intolerable. In the stage select area, there are many burlap sacks that fall on Pugsley and can make quick work of him. The game is also quite long, and there is no save feature of any kind. Players and critics alike praised the game's graphics and sound.

Music
The game's music was praised by players and critics alike. Jonathan Dunn returns to impress with another great score. Once again, Dunn did a great arrangement of the Addams Family theme song by Vic Mizzy, as well as write some great original material as well. The music has a mostly orchestral feel with some quirks added to give the Addams Family vibe. The game takes advantage of the SNES sound chip in that the music has some nice reverb and echo on all of its tracks.
Dunn wrote the music in his own version of Nintendo's Kankichi-kun sound software. He most likely sampled his instruments himself.

Game Rip
Ripping SNES music is an arduous process that is beyond the scope of this site.
Audio Devices
The game uses Jonathan Dunn's sound driver. This game uses Dunn's repurposed version of Kankichi-kun. He would later program his own custom sound driver for the SNES.
