In Thanatos you control a fire-breathing dragon and earn points by rampaging though cities, caverns, and castles torching ant-like people who attack you. Unfortunately, the game is pretty slow-paced and difficult to control. The graphics are pretty bland because they were ported from the ZX Spectrum with only a half-hearted attempt to increase their color depth. It does have a memorable opening song though.

Music

There is only a single song in Thanatos, and that's the title track composed by Julian Breeze for the ZX Spectrum port, and arranged for the Commodore 64 by Rob Hubbard. While it's not quite as epic as some tunes, it is none the less competent and interesting tune.
