Test - Puyo Pop Fever (NDS)

|
Test is an unused song present in Puyo Pop Fever (NDS)'s data, though there is no way to play it in-game (not even in the sound test). The title comes from its internal name within the game's .sdat file: "test." Presumably, it was made to test the game's audio in some fashion.
The DS version, and by proxy this song, was first released on December 24th, 2004 in Japan. Its music was primarily composed by Hideki Abe -- while it is not known whether he also arranged his own music for this specific port, in the absence of any hard evidence to the contrary it is assumed that he did.
While the song would never be reused in its original form, its melody would be integrated into the beginning of Architect of the Puyo Underworld, the Dark Prince's theme in Puyo Puyo!! 20th Anniversary (3DS).
Composition
The song is a short loop, balancing a high-pitched main melody and backing synths with a constant percussion line and intermittent drum hits.
