Technical Group Laboratory is a Japanese developer that initially specialized in software development and robotics, eventually expanding into the home computer video game market in 1992.

The company was founded in 1984 under the name Technical Group Research Institute, but changed their name to Technical Group Laboratory in 1995 after seeing success in the video game industry with their Farland Story series. Their game development initially focused on home computers of NEC's PC-9800 series, but progressed to Windows 95 and 98 computers as their popularity increased. They also produced ports of their popular series for Sony Playstation and Sega Dreamcast consoles.

TGL also spawned several sub-brands for adult-oriented games and visual novels, including GIGA and ZONE, known for series such as Variable Geo, BALDR, Steam Heart's, and more. Some of the company's former staff also spawned new companies like Aquaplus and Studio e.go!.

In 2016, TGL's planning and sales companies merged to form Entergram Inc., and in 2023, TGL announced that their adult brand known as GIGA would no longer create or publish new games.
