- This page is for the Konami composer. For the Namco composer, see Takayuki Ishikawa (Namco composer).
Takayuki Ishikawa, more commonly known by his main alias dj TAKA, is one of the main composers for Konami's Bemani line of arcade rhythm games. His first song for the series was in beatmania IIDX (ARC), and he became the head sound director for the beatmania IIDX series in beatmania IIDX substream (ARC) (incidentally also the only IIDX game to date that he did not actually compose for), remaining in that position until beatmania IIDX 12 HAPPY SKY (ARC). He has remained a sound producer for the series since the next installment, beatmania IIDX 13 DistorteD (ARC). He is also a sound director for the SOUND VOLTEX series, having been one since the first installment SOUND VOLTEX BOOTH (ARC).
He is one of the founders of Konami's in-house BEMANI record label, beatnation records, along with Yoshitaka Nishimura, Toshiyuki Kakuta and Tatsuya Shimizu. His choice as an addition to the label in its revival in 2014 was OSTER project.
