This is the original version of Stage 1 as composed by Tamayo Kawamoto for the arcade game. The music can be heard in sections A-D. The song is rendered in FM synthesis on a YM2203 chip.

There are two versions of the song in the game's data, one with the game's starting demo attached at the beginning, and one without. The one without is played after you die in the first stage.

In the NES port, Stage 1 plays in all of the sections for the first stage, that is sections 00-19.

The song is played on the Nintendo's RP2A03. The song exists twice in the NSF file in tracks 25 and 34. It may have been designed this way, once as the regular background music, a second time as what the music is set to after destroying a stage 1 barrier.
