The arcade version of South Wind is the original version of the song. The song plays during Stage 2: Los Angeles.

The song was composed by Osamu Ohta using a sound driver by Masahiro Yuge in a custom MML for the YM3812 sound chip.

The song plays during Stage 1: San Francisco (SFO). Interestingly, the music for the first and second rounds, the music is swapped.

The song plays considerably faster than the original, and the length of the song has been virtually cut in half. Perhaps the arranger was not aware of the extended length of the arcade version of the song, as each part of the song sounds similar to each other.
