Sonar is a MIDI sequencer for Windows developed by Roland. Sonar's foundation was built upon the older MIDI sequencer, Cakewalk. Sonar has many professional audio editing tools and abilities released in three flavors: Essential, which is for beginners, Studio, which is for average MIDI and audio editors, and Producer which has the most professional audio capabilities. Many professional composers have used Sonar for their music production.
