Side Pocket was a short-lived billiard simulation series by Data East. It started life as an arcade game in Europe and Japan, and was subsequently ported to most of the popular home consoles at the time.
Data East made a spiritual sequel, Minnesota Fats: Pool Legend for the Sega Genesis and Sega Saturn. The latter version of the game was released as Side Pocket 2 in its native Japan.
Music
Each game in the series uses jazzy themes and various rock themes as well.
The Game Boy version shares two songs with the arcade original, and the Game Gear version features an arrangement of the Genesis version's score. The Saturn version was released in Japan as Side Pocket 2: Densetsu no Hustler.
