She'll Be Coming 'Round the Mountain is a traditional African-American folk song often categorized as children's music. The song was first printed in Carl Sandburg's The American Songbag in 1927, but it was originally sung during the late 1800s under the title "When the Chariot Comes." The song's earlier lyrics were about the second coming of Jesus and subsequent rapture, but throughout the 1800s, the lyrics were modified into this more generic song.

She'll be coming 'round the mountain when she comes, (when she comes).

We will kill the old red rooster when she comes, etc.
We will all have chicken and dumplings when she comes, etc.
