Roy Glover is an American composer and sound designer who worked at Ozark Softscape. He is perhaps best known for writing the theme music to the video game M.U.L.E.

At an early age, Roy took an interest in electronics, receiving a soldering gun around the age of 9, but also had a passion for music. During his teens, his interest in music grew and he started teaching himself how to play the piano. He eventually took up a job at a computer store (along with developer Alan Watson), in which Glover had also taken an interest in computer programming, starting out on the Atari line of computers.

For the M.U.L.E. theme, Glover had originally sequenced it as a song on the Atari 800 to try and push the limits of the computer's limited sound hardware. For inspiration for the composition, Glover said that there was none; he was simply just trying to write and program a tune on his Atari 800 computer, but admitted he may have taken some influence from disco with the song's bassline.

Programmer Danielle Berry (formerly Dan Bunten) eventually started working with Alan Watson, and Alan eventually left the computer store, maintaining contact with Glover. When Glover demonstrated his music player and tune he wrote for his Atari 800 to Berry, he was asked if they could use the song in their game M.U.L.E. and Glover gave his blessing. However, Glover did not receive credit in the game as he had not joined the developer, Ozark Softscape, until after the game had finished development. Glover said he didn't mind though and that he was happy to have the experience.

Regarding the popularity of the song, Glover was surprised that there even was a legacy for the M.U.L.E. theme, but is glad that people have enjoyed the song.

His music was converted to the Commodore 64 by an unknown programmer, possibly Danielle Berry.
