Robert Vieira is an American composer and sound designer. He attended the University of California, Berkeley. He started working on video games in 1981 when he worked at Atari. He originally wrote the music to a few of their Atari 2600 titles, and later went on to compose for several Atari Lynx video games. In 1984, he left Atari and would later go on to work for Epyx a couple years later. For three years, he wrote music and sound effects for some of their computer games. In 1991, Vieira went on to work for The 3DO Company, not only doing audio design, but also working as a game producer. Vieira left the company in 1996. In 1998, he worked for LeapFrog, but didn't write audio for their systems.
Since 1997, Vieira has been operating his own business, Arieiv Consulting. The company works on several aspects of game design including project management and audio design.
