OutRun (アウト ラン) is a series of racing games created by Sega. While it wasn't the first game to use it, OutRun defined the iconic third-person "behind the car" racing view and popularized the now cliché theme of a man in a red sports car with his lady in the passenger seat. The original arcade game was also the first video game in history which allowed the driver to choose a radio station.
