The bass uses a low-pass filter. The chords are not programmed to do so, but since the driver forgets to disable the filter on rewind, the lowest note of the first 8 chords is quieted anyway or, on the 8580, even muted.

The driver outputs the song to the SID chip and was recorded doing so within VICE 3.2 with the model 6581 (ReSID) and the filter bias 180, although it is unconfirmed how close it is to what the arranger heard. It is track 5 in the rip.
