Norio Hanzawa

Norio Hanzawa (also known as Kazuo Hanzawa) is a Japanese composer and sound designer, known for his countless works with Konami and Treasure.
He joined Konami around 1989 and was a part of the Konami Kukeiha Club under the moniker "Playback Hanzawa". He is known for working on many arcade soundtracks for the company, and is known for his soundtracks for Quarth and Punk Shot. In 1992, Hanzawa left Konami and went with Hiroshi Iuchi and Katsuhiko Suzuki to work at Treasure. There, he scored many games including Gunstar Heroes and Alien Soldier.
Hanzawa's first name has been the source of confusion on the English-speaking internet; his name has been subject to various readings and alternate names, having been credited as Norio, Kazuo, and Ichio in various works and albums. It's believed that Norio is his real name.
