Noah's Ark |
 |
|
Noah's Ark is a platform game for the NES produced by British studio Source R&D and published in 1992 by Konami. It was only released in Europe. Unlike most other games based on Biblical content released around the same time, this one was officially approved by Nintendo. It is very loosely based on the biblical story with the same name.
It was planned on to be published by Matchbox in the U.S., but it was cancelled due to Nintendo of America having a ban on religious references, and treated the developer to need secular references better, just like with Devil World (FC).
This game was developed by only seven developers at Source: Jason Benham (designer, programmer), Ross Harris (designer, graphic artist), John Cassells (designer, graphic artist), Chris Gill (composer), Paul Summers (composer), Link Tomlin (sound programmer) and John Morrison (hardware).

Credits
(Source: Verification from Eddie Gill; game lacks credits.)
There are no credits in the game or instruction manual, but Chris Gill's brother who was also the programmer confirmed that Chris is the composer for this and their other NES title Motor City Patrol. Chris also made the game's graphics. According to Eddie, the game was rushed so the company didn't bother with credits. There also may have been a contract with its intended US publisher Matchbox not to have credits in their games.
