Naoyuki Satō, more commonly know by his main alias Nekomata Master (猫叉Master), is a composer who works for Konami. He began composing for them in 1999, and has worked mainly on Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu and BEMANI. His first BEMANI works were on various console versions of beatmania IIDX and pop'n music games, eventually branching out to the arcade versions where he now composes for almost every single BEMANI series. His first sound director position came in beatmania IIDX 20 tricoro (ARC), where he joined Toshiyuki Kakuta as a co-sound director. He remained sound director of the IIDX series alongside Kakuta until halfway through beatmania IIDX 22 PENDUAL (ARC), where he then left to sound direct MÚSECA (ARC). Sato is well known for his ethnic electronica as well as drum'n'bass.
He is the most recent addition to Konami's in-house BEMANI record label, beatnation records, joining it at its revival in February 2014. Unlike all other additions upon the label's revival, he was added as a member of the first generation of composers, as opposed to the new beatnation RHYZE branch. He was still allowed to pick a composer to add to the beatnation RHYZE, and his choice was Takahiro Fukase (aka PHQUASE).
