Missions 1 is played in various missions throughout the game and always in the custom mission. The track was composed in AdLib Visual Composer and converted from its native ROL format. The original file is named "DSTune4.mus".
Listeners have compared this track to the beginning of The Unnamed Feeling by Metallica, though the latter would only come about 13 years later.
This tune was not arranged for Amiga, Sharp X68000, PC-9801, Commodore 64, and NES versions. In Commodore 64 and Amiga, no music at the beginning or during the missions is played.
