Mint (株式会社ミント Kabushikigaisha Minto = Mint Co., Ltd.) was a Japanese music group that created music and sound effects for video games. The group consisted of only three people; Michiya Hirasawa, Akihiko Mori, and Tsukushi Sasaki. Hirasawa was the founder. Hirasawa founded the group around 1991. The group is perhaps best known for their contributions to the Kunio-kun series.

Audio Development

For the NES and Game Boy, the group used drivers programmed by Michiya Hirasawa.

SNES

The group sometimes used CUBE's variant of Nintendo's Kankichi-kun. For Shodai Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun, the group used their own variant of the driver, likely by Hirasawa. The rest of their catalog was done using a custom sound driver by Hirasawa.

Gameography

Note: The games listed here are the ones which either list Mint in the credits, or we have received verification that they worked on the game. Also, games denoted with an asterisk (*) denote games in which all three members were involved.
