Mike Webb

Mike Webb is an English programmer and producer who was involved in many video games.
From March 1983 to 1985, he was programming games at A'n'F Software and Ocean Software.
Most influentially, he created Mikes Assembler that runs on Einstein computers, and in which several celebrities programmed games, audio drivers, and songs for various 8-bit computers.
By 1985-08-05, Andy Hieke and Webb had founded Binary Design, although Webb soon moonlighted for Elite Systems and asked favors from Binary employees. In 1986, Webb and Richard Kay founded Software Creations. Webb figured out how they could develop for the Nintendo Entertainment System, programmed their SNES sound engine, and was their chairman until liquidation in 2002. It is unknown what he does since, except that in August 2003, he emigrated to Australia with his wife and three kids. Since 2010, he lives separated by the Brisbane River, Queensland.

Webb programmed Software Creations' sound engine, which required composers to write their music in SPC700 assembly language machine code macros.
