Mega Man II (AKA Mega Man 2) is the sequel to the first Mega Man (NES). You continue to play Rock who must bust up Dr. Wily's evil robots in the traditional action platformer sort of way. This is one of the easiest Mega Mans in the series, but also one of the most enjoyable games. It's also the first standard Mega Man with regard to eight enemy robots, no score, empty boss corridors, and proper power-up icons.

Music
The music in Mega Man II is often regarded as the best for the entire series. Specifically, the music for Bubble Man and Dr. Wily Stages 1 & 2 are the favorites of many retro gamers. The music covers a broad range of timbres and tempos to fit the robot domain they belong to and all of the music is very catchy. The majority of the music was composed by Takashi Tateishi with a little help from Manami Matsume.
According to the composer, the music had to be painstakingly converted from the notes into machine code.

Most of the sound effects are pulled from Manami Matsumae work in the first game as well as the Ending theme which Takashi Tateishi remixed into the Opening theme.
