Locomotion is a faithful port of Locomotion: Kingsoft (AMI), and the only version to detect the operating system's language and accordingly start up in English or German. However, the colors and sound effects are not perfectly adjusted to the poorer hardware and make later boards even harder.

Music
For unknown reasons, the theme now only plays before the main menu. The sound effects from the Amiga original are not laid out well anymore. While a sound effect plays, the actual game slows down. When a sound effect starts while still another plays, the still-playing one is cut, which means you may not be warned of new trains. All this may also be why no rattle is included.
Recording
All songs were recorded from the game in Hatari v2.2.1.
