Ken Allen is an American former video game developer. In April 1989, he joined Sierra Entertainment as a music composer and sound effects designer. There, he wrote the first "mixed-mode" CD-ROM audio for a game with Mixed Up Mother Goose, which he said had never been achieved before in a game. In October 1991, he left Sierra to work for Tsunami Media. There, he had multiple roles including game designer, producer, and audio director. In April 1993, he went freelance as a composer and worked on many different games for various clients. A year later, he started working for Interplay Productions as a producer, primarily on their Star Trek line of games. At the start of 1998, he started working as a producer for Realtime Associates, but left at the end of the year for a job closer to home, and only worked on a single game by the company. In February 1998, he was a producer for Electronic Arts where he worked on the game Nox, as well as localizing the game in several different languages. In May 2000, Allen started working at Midway Games as a Senior Producer. He started out in their coin-op titles, but later started working on their home console games. In February 2002, he joined Atari as a Senior Game Producer and three years later, he became an Executive Producer. While at Atari, he contributed several designs and ideas that strengthened the company. He left Atari in February 2006 and started working for T*HQ in October that same year as a Senior Game Producer. In June 2008, he left T*HQ and started working for Trion Worlds where he held many positions. Over the past decade, Ken has worked for various game development studios, primarily as a producer. These include IGT, Shuffle Master, Petroglyph Games, Konami, and even worked composed music to SpaceVenture.

Today, Ken Allen resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, and works for The New York Times as a Program Manager, among various other roles, which he has held since February 2001.
