Kazuhisa Mitani is an unofficial name of the sound driver used in all of Crosstalk's NES games, and was programmed by Kazuhisa Mitani.
Release History
Crosstalk only developed four games, so only four games used the driver. Three of these games were exclusive to Japan (Arctic, Bakushou! Jinsei Gekijou, and Jangou) while one was also released in North America (Hillsfar).
Output
The driver plays back on the RP2A03 of the NES. Like most drivers, the DPCM channel is never used. The triangle channel always only plays for a few frames, resulting in a pop sound.
Another interesting thing about the driver is its ability to fade-out music. Few other sound drivers were capable of this, such as Sunsoft's of Konami's.

The low and high bytes are separated from each other, and furthermore, each octave is separated by four FF bytes. On top of that, the high bytes are changed from the usual 06~00 to FE~F8.
