Katsuya Yamano is a Japanese programmer who works for Nintendo. He joined the company around the start of the 1990s, and while the vast majority of his known credits are as a programmer, as well as helping to design the SNES mouse, he does have one credit as a composer, on 1995's Teleroboxer.

Yamano made use of Nintendo's standard Virtual Boy sound engine, which was designed by Hirokazu Tanaka. He may have had some help arranging his music into the game from Minako Hamano, who has a "Special Thanks" credit.
