Joe Lyford

Joe Lyford is a professional American composer and sound designer. From 1983 to 1988, he attended Pomona College and obtained a BA in American Literature and Music. He started in the game industry in September 1993 when he worked at 47-TEK and worked on a few computer games. In mid-1997, he left the company and later joined Atari Games in 1998. Here, he scored the music to many arcade and home console games. Near the end of 2002, he departed Atari Games and became a freelance composer for four years. He started working at Cryptic Studios, where he worked for a little over eight years. In October 2016, he worked for Sledgehammer Games on Call of Duty: WWII working on dialogue.
Today, Lyford currently runs his own audio business, Lyford Audio.
