Jeanne Parson is an American composer and sound designer. She has been creating music ever since she was young. Through the early years, Jeanne took piano lessons. She later attended the California State University in 1973 and earned her bachelor's in Piano Performance in 1976. She studied some keyboard instruments for some time before joining a band that toured not only in the USA, but also in Canada. Later, she attended the Mill's College in 1988 and earned a MFA and majored in Electronic Music and Recording Media in 1990.
Her video game music career began in January 1993 with her working for Atari. She got her music known from her Primal Rage and Area 51 soundtracks. She later left Atari in May 1996. In August 1998, around 2 years after working for Atari, she worked for LeapFrog Enterprises, composing music and sound for their toys and other electronics.
Jeanne still composes music for not just video games, but other forms of media too including toys, television and movies.
Jeanne used Logic Pro on the Macintosh for Area 51's music.
