James Pond 2: Codename RoboCod is a jump 'n run game orginally designed for the Amiga. This game is a sequel to James Pond which was never released for DOS but for other platforms. The plot is that some of the penguins were kidnapped by Dr. Maybe and James Pond has to save them. You have to play the half robot fish James Pond, collect items, kill enemies and make it to the exit. There is a big castle with different levels behind each door that have to be played through. At the end you have to defeat the final boss in order to win against Dr. Maybe.

Music
The DOS version's music is played back using low sample rate wavetables. There are seven tracks in total played all over in 85 playable levels. Due to the limitations at the time the game was developped, these tracks are quite repetive.
The game has a Christmas theme, as the castle belongs to Santa. However noteworthy is that the original game features a track with the music of Jingle Bells and Merry Chrismas while the DOS version has the melody of the Austrian song "O du lieber Augustin" instead.
At the introduction of the game, there is a short prelude played in the original game which is missing in the DOS version.
In several levels there is an item that adds glitter to RoboCod and makes him invincible for a limited time. During that time, a fast version of the actual level's tune is played back.
The list below displays which level features which tune. It refers to the number from the level selection screen in the cheat mode which can be switched to by typing LITTLE MERMAID followed by pressing the L key.
Recording
The recordings were made using DOSBox at a sample rate of 44100 Hz.
